OSLO, Norway – Chrysaor Norge, a subsidiary of Harbour Energy, has awarded Applied Petroleum Technology (APT) a frame agreement covering geochemical and biostratigraphic analyses on the Norwegian continental shelf.
APT will provide the services to support Chrysaor’s E&P activities offshore Norway, including interpretation of drilling samples and other reservoir data.
Initially the company will analyze the 15/12-25 and 15/12-26 exploration wells operated by Chrysaor in production license 973 in the southern Norwegian North Sea, close to the median line with the UK.
APT has previously supported the company in UK waters. The biostratigraphic analysis service, which involves dating of rocks, supported by fossils, is mandatory for all exploration wells drilled offshore Norway, and is designed to improve client confidence and geological control.
