ASKER, NorwayTGS had five 3D seismic vessels, two 2D vessels, and one ocean bottom node crew operating on offshore programs during 1Q 2020.

The company completed its SeaSeep acquisition over a 113,500-sq km (43,822-sq mi) area in the MSGBC basin offshore northwest Africa. The project incorporated around 260 cores from the seabed, positioned based on multi-beam backscatter anomalies: final results should follow this summer.

In the same basin the BGP Prospector completed acquisition of the 5,100-sq km (1,969-sq mi) Senegal North Ultra Deep 3D multi-client survey, and acquisition has sine started of the 2,000-sq km (772-sq mi) Senegal North OUP 3D multi-client campaign.

Off Nigeria, TGS and joint venture partner TGS-PetroData continue work on the country’s first regional multi-client multi-beam and seafloor sampling study, covering 80,000 sq km (30,888 sq mi) of the offshore Niger Delta and incorporating around 200 seabed cores.

In Brazil, the BGP Pioneer finished work on the 8,443-km (5,246-mi) Para-Maranhao 2D multi-client project and has since begun acquiring 3,406 km (2,116 mi) of 2D data for the Potiguar Phase III multi-client survey.

TGS also continued acquisition of the expanded 22,500-sq km (8,687-sq mi) Santos multi-client 3D program and completed the 14,100-km (8,761-mi) Campos multi-client 3D survey.
