TGS has started work on its Krishna-Godavari (KG) Basin Mega 3D reprocessing project offshore eastern India.

This will apply modern seismic reprocessing technologies over 16,900 sq km of legacy 3D data surveys to support exploration and licensing in the region.

TGS plans to deploy pre-stack time migration (PSTM), pre-stack depth migration (PSDM) and full waveform inversion (FWI) to achieve contiguous, high-resolution imaging, leading to higher definition of Tertiary stratigraphic plays and deeper synrift prospects.

Fast-track data should be ready during the second quarter, with final seismic products delivered by April 2026.

The KG Basin Mega 3D area covers 10,900 sq km of open acreage over India’s upcoming OALP-10 bid round blocks.
