Equinor has handed AGR a long-term frame agreement to provide subsurface and field development support for projects related to its facilities, offshore installations and onshore complexes.
AGR will provide multidisciplinary subsurface services, including for greenfield, tie-in and brownfield projects, along with business consultancy.
The agreement runs for three years, and it could be extended by up to two periods of one year each.
“Equinor is continuously evaluating new upstream oil and gas fields in addition to upgrades of existing installations and onshore plants," said Jørgen L. Jørgensen, senior vice president of Reservoir Management at AGR. “Further, we know that Equinor is exploring activities within energy transition projects such as offshore wind, new low carbon value chains – such as blue hydrogen and ammonia, and carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS)…"
He continued, "...our reservoir management and subsurface team is prepared and capable of supporting all such projects.”
AGR’s reservoir management and subsurface team includes specialists from Ross Offshore, which AGR’s parent company ABL Group acquired earlier this year.
The company can provide capabilities in geology and geoscience, reservoir engineering, petrophysics, production technology, petroleum economics, facilities and operations geology.
