    First oil from South Furious waterflood project offshore Malaysia

    Hibiscus Malaysia has delivered first oil from its South Furious field SF30 Phase 2 waterflood development project in the North Sabah production sharing contract offshore Malaysia.

    Hibiscus Malaysia has delivered first oil from its South Furious field SF30 Phase 2 waterflood development project in the North Sabah production sharing contract offshore Malaysia.

    The D10 well was the first of five planned oil producer wells to go onstream, all drilled from the new SFJT-D wellhead platform over the South Furious field.

    Production will rise steadily as the other wells start up. Hibsicus then plans to drill six water injection wells, supported by a new water injection module currently undergoing conversion, and they are set to start operations in mid-2025.
