Saipem to expand infrastructure at Aramco’s offshore Marjan field

$2-billion EPCI contract will cover multiple new production facilities at the Marjan field offshore Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Aramco has awarded Saipem a $2-billion EPCI contract covering multiple new production facilities at the Marjan field offshore Saudi Arabia.

The full scope of work covers engineering, procurement, construction and installation of wellhead platform topsides and jackets, a tie-in platform jacket and topside, rigid flowlines, submarine composite cables, and fiber optic cables.

Fabrication will take place at Saipem Taqa Al-Rushaid Fabricators (STAR) yard in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, with vessels from Saipem’s local fleet assigned to perform offshore installations.
