ADELAIDE, Australia – Cooper Energy says that the horizontally directional drilled shore crossing has been completed of the gas pipeline from the Orbost gas processing plant in Victoria, part of the development of the offshore Sole gas field.
The crossing had to be rescheduled due to unexpected ground conditions, which had prevented completion of previous attempts and therefore required modifications to the work plan.
Cooper added that the umbilical shore crossing was completed in December, and that the full shore crossing element of the project should finish in the next few weeks following final survey, testing, and stabilization on the seabed.
