Husky Oil China has awarded Petrofac’s Engineering & Production Services East division a three-year contract to support the Liuhua 29-1 gas field development.

LONDON – Husky Oil China has awarded Petrofac’s Engineering & Production Services East division a three-year contract to support the Liuhua 29-1 gas field development in the Pearl River Mouth basin in the South China Sea, 300 km (186 mi) southeast of Hong Kong.
The contract scope includes the provision of specialist personnel to support the project via execution and pre-commissioning and subsequent commissioning and start-up.
Petrofac’s responsibility includes overseeing supply of subsea equipment, umbilicals and flexibles, and overall engineering, procurement, construction, and installation.
Its team will work alongside Husky’s project staff in Shekou, China, and in the main contractors’ offices throughout execution of the project.
