SNEEK, the Netherlands – Lankhorst Euronete Portugal has supplied three Lankoforce synthetic riser tethers to Malaysian group Dialog for JX Nippon’s Layang field development in block SK10 offshore Sarawak.

Water depth is around 90 m (295 ft).

Lankoforce tethers are designed to hold risers and flowlines in position, connected to subsea production systems such as manifolds, wellheads, christmas trees, and well jumpers.

Each comprises a single leg connecting a hold-down riser clamp with a tether anchor. The systems will tether two production risers and flowlines, and a gas export riser and flowline connected to a FPSO.

The riser tether has a Lankoforce rope construction with a 12-strand braided rope core made from Dyneema DM20 high-modulus polyethylene rope, which provides the required strength and mechanical performance.

The entire rope core is protected by a braided polyester jacket and polyurethane coating and includes ROV handling points and spliced eyes at each end.
