SINGAPORE – McDermott International has subcontracted UTEC for various survey programs offshore eastern India.

UTEC will provide surface and subsea positioning services during installation of subsea flowlines, pipeline end manifolds and terminations, jumpers, risers, and umbilicals.

These are for a field development of a field in water depths of up to 2,100 m (6,890 ft).

Offshore activity is due to start soon. The company will initially provide the equipment and personnel to the McDermott-operatedDLV 2000 pipelay vessel, a third-party light construction vessel, and a third-party dive support vessel.

The project management team in Singapore will be supported by personnel from UTEC’s office in Perth, with further assistance from McDermott’s branch in Kuala Lumpur and additional offshore logistics coordination from Kakinada, India.
