Ithaca Energy (UK) has awarded Petrofac’s Engineering and Production Services business a $10-million construction and commissioning contract for work in the UK central North Sea.

ABERDEEN, UK – Ithaca Energy (UK) has awarded Petrofac’s Engineering and Production Services business a $10-million construction and commissioning contract for work in the UK central North Sea.
Petrofac will be responsible for topsides construction and commissioning works on the Ithaca-operatedFPF-1 floating production semisubmersible, which serves the Greater Stella Area fields, for the tieback of BP’s Vorlich subsea development.
As Duty Holder of theFPF-1, the contractor will integrate its operations and construction teams in support of the work scope, which is due to start in January and finish in 2020.
