Offshore staff
SAN DONATO MILANESE, Italy– Eni and Sonangol have started oil production from the Ochigufu project in block 15/06 offshore Angola.
TheOchigufu field is in 1,300 m (4,265 ft) of water depth, 150 km (93.2 mi) west of Soyo and 380 km (236 mi) northwest of Luanda.
The wells are connected subsea to the Sangos production system and from there tied in to theN’Goma FPSO vessel in the West Hub of block 15/06. The field will add 25,000 b/d to the current production levels from the block.
Block 15/06 is operated by Eni with a 36.84% share, in partnership with Sonangol Pesquisa e Produção (36.84%) and SSI Fifteen Ltd. (26.32%).
Eni expects to start production from the Vandumbu field in the West Hub in early 2019.
