Aker BP assigns Allseas, Heerema Valhall platform removal tasks

Aker BP has awarded Allseas, via Excalibur Marine Contractors, a six-year frame agreement for offshore transport, installation, and removal services.

LYSAKER, Norway – Aker BP has awarded Allseas, via Excalibur Marine Contractors, a six-year frame agreement for offshore transport, installation, and removal services.
The contract carries options for two two-year extensions. In addition, Allseas has a call-off for removal of theValhall field QP topsides in the southern Norwegian North Sea and Valhall’s QP/DP bridge in 2019, followed by disposal of both facilities.
There are further options for removal and disposal of the QP and 2/4G jackets at a later date.
Last month Aker BP awardedHeerema Marine Contractors long-term transportation and installation frame agreement and call off for the Valhall Flank West installation.
It will now amend the agreement to include removal services.
