MOSCOW – Lukoil has completed the majority of the construction works at the Vladimir Filanovsky field Phase 2 development in the Russian sector of the Caspian Sea.
Drilling has now started on the first production well, and this should be completed in early 2018.
The Phase 2 facilities will allow the field to attain the stabilized production plateau of 6 MM metric tons/yr (6.6 MM tons).
Currently six production and two injection wells are operating at the Phase 1 facilities. Cumulative production to date has exceeded 5 MM metric tons of oil (5.5 MM tons).
