ZWIJNDRECHT, the Netherlands – Heerema Fabrication Group (HFG) will procure and build the vent boom for Noble Energy’s deepwater Leviathan gas development offshore Israel.
Construction is due to start in 1Q 2018 at Zwijndrecht, the Netherlands, ready for sail away during 2Q 2019.
The vent boom will be more than 130 m (426 ft) long and will be lifted into position offshore by Heerema Marine Contractors’ newheavy-lift vesselSleipnir.
The Leviathan field is 125 km (77.7 mi) west of Haifa, and 35 km (21.7 mi) west of the Tamar field. HFG also provided a similar structure for Tamar under a contract awarded in 2012.
Noble has commissioned a subsea production system connecting high-rate subsea wells to a fixed platform. Production capacity will be up to 2,100 MMcf/d.
