ConocoPhillips gets clearance for Ekofisk structure removals

ConocoPhillips has permission from the Petroleum Safety Authority to begin preparations for and the start of the removal of minor structures from the Ekofisk field facilities in the southern Norwegian North Sea.

STAVANGER, Norway– ConocoPhillips has permission from the Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA) to begin preparations for and the start of the removal of minor structures from the Ekofisk field facilities in the southern Norwegian North Sea.

This consent also covers the installation of a temporary crane on Ekofisk 2/4-FTP.

ConocoPhillips has applied to the PSA for consent to dispose of the Ekofisk 2/4 H, Ekofisk 2/4 A, Ekofisk 2/4 FTP and Ekofisk 2/4 Q facilities. The PSA said that it is dealing separately with the remainder of the operator’s consent application.
