PARIS – Eni has awarded TechnipFMC an integrated engineering, procurement, construction, transportation, and installation contract for the Merakes gas field development offshore Balikpapan, Indonesia.
The project involves drilling five deepwater wells and tying these back 50 km (31 mi) to Eni’sJangkrik FPU. Water depth is around 1,500 m (4,921 ft).
TechnipFMC’s responsibilities include engineering, procurement, installation and pre-commissioning of the subsea trees, a manifold, large bore deepwater high-pressure flexible lines, umbilicals and distribution hardware, flexible risers, flowlines and jumpers.
