Chevron has awarded GE Oil & Gas a competitive bid, worth over $400 million, to deploy advanced liquefied natural gas (LNG) technology for the Gorgon field, offshore Australia.

PERTH, AUSTRALIA -- Chevron has awarded GE Oil & Gas a competitive bid, worth over $400 million, to deploy advanced liquefied natural gas (LNG) technology for the Gorgon field, offshore Australia.
GE will supply Chevron with three main refrigerant compression trains and six compression trains. The systems will be manufactured and tested in Florence and Massa, Italy, and shipped in 2011 and 2012.
