ABERDEEN, UK -- Prosafe Rigs has awarded OP Marine a multi-million dollar contract for replacement of the galley and architectural refit of the lower deck, mess rooms, and crew day rooms on MSV Regalia.
RH Morton, a galley design and manufacture company, has also been awarded a substantial contract, in partnership with OP Marine, to manufacture and supply bespoke galley and catering equipment.
The project is under way at Keppel Verolme Shipyard in Holland, where Prosafe is undertaking the refurbishment of theMSV Regalia. The refit comprises the installation of new accommodation modules with 330 single man cabins, and the upgrade of hull and structure, machinery, and general systems and equipment.
Upon completion, the vessel will provide accommodation facilities to BP on the Valhall project in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea until December 2010.
