Wison gets EPCIC contract from Exmar for FLRSU offshore Colombia

Wison Offshore & Marine Ltd. has won a contract from Exmar to engineer, procure, construct, install, and commission the first-ever floating LNG liquefaction, regasification, and storage unit.

HOUSTON –Wison Offshore & Marine Ltd. has won a contract from Exmar to engineer, procure, construct, install, and commission the first-ever floating LNG liquefaction, regasification, and storage unit. The FLRSU will be used by Exmar under a contract with Rubiales Energy Corp. for operations offshore Colombia in the Caribbean Sea starting in 4Q 2014.
The FLRSU will be a non-propelled barge equipped to convert 69.5 MMcf/d of natural gas into LNG and store it for offloading to a permanently moored storage unit or shuttle tanker. The jetty moored barge will receive gas from the La Creciente field onshore.
Wison Offshore & Marine will do the design and engineering from its Shanghai operational center with construction at Wison’s fabrication facility in Nantong, China. Added support will come from the company’s subsidiary in Houston.
Black & Veatch will execute the engineering and procurement of the topside liquefaction equipment and packages using its patented PRICO technology, and providing on-site commissioning and startup.
