TEHRAN, Iran – Petropars expects to install the first deck of the South Pars Phase 12 development offshore Iran this summer.
Managing Director Mohammad Javad Shams, speaking to Iranian news service Shana, added that the second deck and the project’s associated gas processing plant should both be in place by next March.
Drilling operations are completed at the Phase 12 platform A, and drilling from platform C should start by June 19. Two rigs are engaged and will shortly be joined by a third rig.
The company has also finished laying of three parallel gas pipelines, each 110 km (68 mi) long.
Phase 12 should deliver 3 bcf/d of gas for Iran’s national gas network and for LNG processing plants, and 120,000 b/d of gas condensate and 750 t/d of sulfur.
