FORNEBU, Norway – BP has awarded Aker Solutions a framework agreement to provide engineering, modifications, and maintenance services for its oil and gas fields offshore Norway.
The contract lasts up to two years, extendable by an additional four years, with a value of up to NOK 1.8 billion ($302 million). It comes into effect on June 1, following the expiration of anexisting framework contract for similar services.
The agreement covers work on the Ula, Tambar, Hod, and Valhall fields in theNorth Sea and on Skarv in the Norwegian Sea. Aker Solutions’ scope includes studies, maintenance, and modification project work as well as preparations for decommissioning offshore Norway.
