North Sea Hejre project approved

The Danish Energy Agency has approved DONG E&P’s development plan for the Hejre oil and gas field in the Danish North Sea.

COPENHAGEN, Denmark – The Danish Energy Agency has approved DONG E&P’s development plan for the Hejre oil and gas field in the Danish North Sea.

DONG’s plan calls for installation of a manned wellhead and processing platform with five production wells, with a design capacity for the facilities of around 6,000 cu moe/d (211,888 cfoe/d). Additionally, new pipelines will be installed to tie the facilities to existing offshore infrastructure in the area.

Total projected cost of the development is more than $1.67 billion. First oil is expected in 2015.

The location is in the northern part of the Danish central graben.
