STOCKHOLM, Sweden – Lundin Norway has submitted a development plan for the 22 MMbbl Brynhild (ex-Nemo) oil field in the Norwegian North Sea.
The plan calls for Brynhild, in license PL 148 close to the UK/Norwegian median line, to tieback to the Shell-operated Pierce field infrastructure on the UK side via three wells, pipelines, and an umbilical. First oil is due in late 2013.
At peak, Brynhild should deliver 12,000 b/d which will be processed and stored on the Pierce FPSO for offload to shuttle tankers.
Lundin Petroleum has a 50% in the field, in partnership with Talisman Energy (30%) and Noreco (20%).
Noreco also has an option agreement giving it the right to sell its interest in the license PL148 to another party. The option expires this fall - Noreco says it will evaluate its position in the development over the next few months before deciding whether to commit to the project or sell its interest.
