PERTH, Australia – Woodside has entered into an agreement with Shell concerning the Browse gas resources offshore Western Australia.
The agreement provides a framework to allow the Browse joint venture to progressShell’s floating LNG (FLNG) technology as a potential development concept.
Woodside and its partners will discuss the principles of the agreement, the extent of work required for alternate development concepts, and their obligations under the Browse retention leases.
However, CEO Peter Coleman said FLNG could commercialize the Browse resources in the earliest possible time frame.
