Offshore staff
PARIS -- Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Co. (ADMA-OPCO) has awarded an engineer-procure-construct (EPC) contract for the offshore Umm Lulu Full Field Development project – Package 2 (Process Facilities).
Technip (PARIS:TEC) and National Petroleum Construction (NPCC) will jointly manage the $1.69-billion program.
Scope of work includes detailed engineering, procurement, fabrication, offshore installation, commissioning, and start-up of a large offshore complex.
This will comprise six bridge-linked platforms including gathering, separation, gas treatment and water disposal facilities, utilities and accommodation modules, with associated jackets, flares, bridges and subsea composite cables.
Technip will use its floatover method for the installations. This allows much of the hook-up and pre-commissioning work to be completed onshore prior to load-out to reduce the duration and cost of offshore commissioning.
Technip will be responsible for engineering of the project and will share procurement and commissioning duties with NPCC. The latter will be responsible for fabrication and installation of the facilities. All work should be completed in the first half of 2018.
