WGMN completes Valemon platform hookup offshore Norway

HOUSTON – Wood Group Mustang Norway (WGMN) has finished hookup operations for the Valemon platform in the Norwegian North Sea.

Statoil brought theValemon field onstream around the turn of this year.

WGMN worked with South Korean fabricatorSamsung Heavy Industries, providing detailed engineering support for the topsides, delivery of the flare boom, and hook-up/commissioning assistance.

This was the first platform delivered directly from a fabricator in Asia to installation offshore on the Norwegian continental shelf.
