Offshore staff
TEHRAN, Iran – A processing platform has been installed above the oil layer of the South Pars gas field in the Persian Gulf.
Petroiran Development Co. (PEDCO) is operating development of the oil layer. The contractors are National Iranian Oil Co. and Iran Offshore Industries Co.
According to news service Shana, the new platform has capacity to process 35,000 b/d of oil from seven wells. Oil production is expected to begin next year.
