SCHIEDAM, the Netherlands – HSM Offshore expects to complete construction of packages this summer for three offshore field developments in the North Sea.
This month the company should finish two modules for Maersk’sFlyndre/Cawdor oil and gas fields, both under development as tiebacks via subsea modules to the Clyde platform in the UK central North Sea, operated by Talisman Sinopec Energy UK.
Two modules (M12 and M14) will be positioned on the platform for treatment of the raw hydrocarbons. M12, with dimensions of 29 x 16 x 20 m (95 x 52 x 65.6 ft), weighs 1,200 metric tons (1,323 tons), while M14 measures 29 x 13 x 6 m (95 x 42.6 x 19.7 ft), with a weight of 350 metric tons (386 tons).
HSM is also responsible for procurement, fabrication, pre-commissioning, load-out, and inland transport of the E17a-A compression module to the Dutch North Sea for operator GDF Suez E&P Nederland. Work should be completed next month.
The gas compression module will be installed on the existing E17a-A platform in block E17, 100 km (62 mi) northwest of Den Helder. The four-legged structure, built by HSM in 2009, features gas treatment, export facilities, and support utilities.
Dimensions of the new compression module are 20 x 10 x 8 m (65.6 x 33 x 26 ft), with a weight of 330 metric tons (364 tons).
During August, HSM should finish work on the new A18 platform to be installed in the northern part of the Dutch sector for operator Petrogas Transportation. Here workscope includes detailed engineering, procurement, construction, pre-commissioning, load-out, transport, installation, and hookup of the platform.
The 1,250-metric ton (1,378-ton) jacket will support a 950-metric ton (1,047-ton) topsides comprising three decks, a helideck, and living quarters for eight crew members.
Seaway Heavy Lifting will install the structure at a location 300 km (186 mi) north of Den Helder in 44 m (144 ft) of water. Produced gas will be exported via a pipeline connection to the nearby A12 production platform.
