HOUSTONSaudi Aramco has awarded Wood Group a six-year offshore maintain potential program contract.

This comprises greenfield and brownfield engineering services, procurement, and construction management support for new facilitiesoffshore Saudi Arabia. The contract carries options for two three-year renewals, and includes the establishment of an offshore engineering center in Al Khobar.

Wood Group Mustang will perform its work in the US, with the company’s Saudi Arabian joint venture Mustang-HDP responsible for the in-Kingdom scope. The program is set to employ up to 300 people.

Mustang-HDP has been providing engineering services toSaudi Aramco under a general engineering services (GES+) contract since 2011. That contract established a long-term framework for the supply of engineering, procurement, and construction management services to support offshore and onshore oil and gas projects in Saudi Arabia.
