HOUSTON —Vår Energi has awarded Baker Hughes two contracts to support development projects offshore Norway in the North Sea.
One is a nine-year arrangement involving provision of well intervention services that Baker Hughes took on following its acquisition of Altus Intervention in April. In addition, the company will supply exploration logging solutions to help Vår Energi develop its prospects on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
The second contract covers delivery of a vertical tree system adapted to the Balder Field redevelopment in the North Sea. The 15-year agreement also includes support for Balder’s legacy wells and any future developments in the area.
