ADELAIDE, Australia —Beach Energy has issued an update on its field development activities offshore southeast Australia in its latest results statement.
In the offshore Otway Basin, the company completed seven-well drilling, which comprised the Artisan gas field discovery and six development wells on the Geographe and Thylacine fields.
Geographe 4 and 5 were connected to the onshore Otway Gas Plant and contributed to a 47% increase in Otway Basin production. The final four wells should be connected in mid-2023.
The company also plans further exploration and development activity in the Otway, Bass and Taranaki basins.

Beach Energy has been granted a new offshore exploration permit in Victorian waters in the Otway Basin, in close proximity to Beach’s existing assets in southwest Victoria. Beach's focus is the delivery of its offshore program.
