PERTH, Australia – A pre-lay survey is under way at the deepwater Sangomar field development offshore Senegal.
Operator Woodside Energy has commissioned the program ahead of the start of the subsea installation campaign, scheduled for 2Q.
Currently Sangomar Phase 1 is 48% complete and on track for first oil in 2023.
Offshore Western Australia, the Greater Western Flank 3 four-well development drilling program started earlier this month.
The project (including Lambert Deep) is a subsea tieback to the North West Shelf offshore complex.
In the same region, the first phase of Woodside’s offshore Pyxis Hub project, comprising wells on the Pyxis and Pluto North fields, achieved ready for start-up status last October, four months ahead of schedule.
The company anticipates flow rates for Pyxis of up to 220 MMcf/d and up to 170 MMcf/d for Pluto North.
Pyxis Hub involves the subsea tieback of the Pyxis, Pluto North, and Xena fields to the Pluto offshore platform. The gas will support start-up of the Pluto-KGP Interconnector: the second phase comprises drilling, completion, and subsea tieback of the Xena 2 well.
Finally, the Julimar-Brunello Phase 2 tieback to the Wheatstone platform is in the start-up phase, with steady state operations expected later in the current quarter.
