LONDON – Harbour Energy faces having to push back first gas from its Tolmount project in the UK southern North Sea until the end of the year.
The company had been targeting start-up toward the end of July. However, final commissioning and testing of the HGS Tolmount platform revealed various issues with some offshore electrical systems.
An investigation is under way, and the company is working on rectification plans. Tolmount has projected plateau rates net to Harbour of 20-25,000 boe/d.
The company has now revised its production guidance for the year to 185-195,000 boe/d on a proforma basis, also considering a delayed restart at the Elgin Franklin gas/condensate complex in the UK central North Sea following a summer maintenance shutdown.
