UTEC books survey work for Coral South offshore Mozambique

NORWICH, UK – TechnipFMC plc has contracted UTEC to provide survey work for the Coral South FLNG project offshore Mozambique.
The survey work is due to begin in April 2021. It includes pre-lay surveys; long baseline array installation and calibration; survey and positioning support; support for the installation of manifold foundation piles, manifolds, tether piles, flexible lines, umbilicals, wellhead jumpers and flying leads; pre-commissioning operations surveys; and riser hook-up and as-built surveys.
The Coral-Sul FLNG vessel will operate in 2,000 m (6,562 ft) of water at the Coral gas field in Area 4 of the Rovuma basin about 50 km (31 mi) offshore. Production is expected to start in 2022.
