Lukoil has started the phase two development drilling campaign on the Vladimir Filanovsky field in the Russian sector of the Caspian Sea.

ASTRAKHAN, Russia – Lukoil has started the phase two development drilling campaign on the Vladimir Filanovsky field in the Russian sector of the Caspian Sea.
The wells, drilled from the offshore ice-resistant fixed complex 2 (OIRFC 2), will help sustain oil production at the planned rate of 6 MM metric tons/yr (6.6 MM tons).
To date Lukoil has invested more than $9 billion in field development in the Caspian Sea.
