LONDON – Vietnam’s Prime Minister has authorized Pharos Energy to proceed with the TGT full-field development plan in block 16.1 offshore the country’s southern coast.
The approval represents the last stage of the required process and follows the recent award of a two-year license extension to Dec. 7, 2026.
Pharos will now start ordering long-lead for the six-well development drilling campaign due to start in 4Q 2021.
The infill program is designed to increase production from the TGT field from the present ~15,000 boe/d to around 20,000 boe/d in 2022.
Hoang Long Joint Operating Co. is the block operator.
