HOUSTON – ADNOC has awarded KBR a project management consultancy (PMC) services contract for the Ghasha concession offshore Abu Dhabi.
KBR will act as the main PMC contractor, managing the EPC contractors for Packages A & B of the sour gas Dalma development, Packages 1-5 of the Hail & Ghasha development, the Hail & Ghasha Islands project and the Deep Gas project.
The program is expected to last four years although there is an option to extend the arrangement by a further two years.
According to KBR, Ghasha is a mega-project that could satisfy around 20% of the UAE’s gas demand by the second half of the 2020s.
In addition, the facilities should produce more than 120,000 b/d of oil and condensates.
