LONDONPremier Oil anticipates first gas from its Bison, Iguana and Gajah Puteri (BIG-P) fields offshore Indonesia by year-end.

The three-well development drilling program finished in September, with installation completed last month of the subsea structures and flexible risers.

Connection of the umbilicals is under way, ahead of final hook up and tie-in of the wells.

Premier also revealed in today’s results statement that it had received fasttrack data from a 3D survey acquired across its Andaman Sea blocks. Initial results have confirmed prospectivity identified on 2D seismic - fully processed data will be available next year ahead of a planned 2021 well program.

In the UK central North Sea, the company gained formal approval in September for its Catcher Area satellite developments, Catcher North and Laverda.

The jackup Gorrilla V1 will drill the two development wells mid-2020 after completing an infill well on the Varadero field. First oil from Catcher North and Laverda should follow in early 2021 and should help extend plateau oil production through the Catcher FPSO.

Premier is closing on a rig to drill the Berimbau/Maraca stacked prospects on block 717 in Brazil’s offshore Ceara basin. The well is scheduled to spud next summer, and will target a potential 300-MMbbl resource.

The company expects to receive final processed 3D seismic data next spring for Mexico’s offshore block 30, and will use the results to delineate prospects ahead of drilling in 2021. Reprocessed 3D data should also come through next year for offshore blocks 11 and 13 in the Burgos basin.

Premier has extended the bid deadline for its share of the fully-appraised Zama oil field offshore Mexico until December, following extensive industry interest.
