LONDON – Pharis Energy has contracted KCA Deutag subsidiary RDS to perform a conceptual study for the heavy-oil Pilot field development in the UK North Sea.
This would be the first large-scale application of offshore steam flood to maximize oil recovery, Pharis claims.
RDS’ scope of work will include jackup screening and selection and design of the wellhead platform.
The company will manage the program from its London and Aberdeen offices.
