SINGAPORE – Jadestone Energy has completed front-end engineering design (FEED) for the offshore facilities and pipelines for its proposed Nam Du/U Minh gas development off Vietnam.

Earlier, the company submitted an environmental impact assessment for the project.

The company is tendering for the major contracts and negotiating the remaining commercial terms in accordance with its signed heads of agreement. It anticipates a final investment decision and project sanction by the end of this year.

Offshore northwest Australia, a riserless light well intervention campaign finished in mid-August, and the company is currently preparing to replace the umbilical from the Skua and Swift/Swallow subsea wells to the Montara field FPSO.

In addition, planning continues for Jadestone’s first infill well at Montara, to be drilled from an existing slot on the wellhead platform and targeting 1.8 MMbbl of unswept oil, with an initial prognosed production rate of 3,000 b/d.

The company is seeking a jackup do drill the H6 infill well in late 2019. It also plans to acquire new 3D seismic to help improve reservoir imaging, more accurately target future infill wells beyond H6 and Skua-12, and assess further exploration step-out potential.
