The Norwegian Ministry of Energy has made a further offshore area open for CO2 storage, comprising multiple blocks in the North Sea.
A potential allocation of a storage permit area will follow submissions by interested parties; the application deadline is midday on April 23.
To date the Ministry has awarded 13 licenses for CO2 storage on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, comprising 12 exploration licenses and one exploitation license.
