Six companies have submitted applications to Norway’s Ministry of Energy for a potential CO2 storage area offered in the North Sea.
The acreage was announced on June 6, in line with the country’s CO2 storage regulations. Exploration license awards should follow later this year.
Aker BP, Equinor Low Carbon Solutions, Harbour Energy Norge, Horisont Energi, Storegga Norge and TotalEnergies EP Norge made the applications, according to a Sept. 4 update from Norway’s Ministry of Energy.
