SANDNES, Norway – Eni Norge plans to drill two production wells on the Goliat field in the Barents Sea, and the Goliat West appraisal well.
The company says it has identified further exploration potential in the area. Any commercial finds should increase the recovery rate and further improve profitability of theGoliat field, it adds.
Last Monday the company restarted oil production on Goliat after completing work related to the FPSO’s electrical system, under an order issued by thePetroleum Safety Authority on Oct. 6.
In addition, the company has undertaken extensive planned maintenance and modification work, using a floatel to provide extra manning. This allowed additional work to be completed.
