BP Norge orders more seabed geoscience equipment from OYO

BP Norge A/S has ordered additional seabed reservoir characterization equipment from OYO Geospace to augment an existing system installed in 2003.

HOUSTON -- BP Norge A/S has ordered additional seabed reservoir characterization equipment from OYO Geospace to augment an existing system installed in 2003. Delivery is expected to occur in 3Q 2010. The contract value is $3-4 million

OYO also says two of its existing GSR customers ordered $3.4 million of additional GSR channels and related equipment. It is possible that both orders could be delivered in the company’s 2Q 2010.

“Our existing customers are realizing the efficiency benefits of the GSR and are demanding more channels and expanding their GSR crews,” says.Gary D. Owens, OYO’s chairman, president, and CEO says.
