SHARJAH, UAE – Dana Gas expects production from its Zora gas field offshore the UAE to cease later this year.
Zora was developed via a platform with a subsea pipeline to the shore. Performance of the reservoir was below expectations.
During 2Q 2019, the company expects to spud its first well onEgypt’s deepwater North El Arish (block-6) concession, on the potential multi-tcf Merak prospect.
Dana Gas identified the prospect after acquiring well full fold 3D seismic in late 2015 over North El Arish.
