ABERDEEN, UK – EnQuest intends to submit a field development plan around year-end for its recently awarded Don North East license in the UK northern North Sea.
This will include at least one production well in Area 24 (to be renamed Ythan) that could come onstream around mid-2015.
Additionally, the company is drilling a new production well on Don Southwest in Area 22 (TJ).
In the same region, drilling operations started earlier this year on EnQuest’s Heather/Broom fields. Workover of the H56 well has been completed and the rig has started drilling a side track of H44 as a new injection well.
At theKittiwake complex in the central UK North Sea, which EnQuest acquired from Centrica in March, a workover is planned in mid-year on the Mallard satellite. Following the recent Avalon discovery, the company is assessing further exploration opportunities in the area to maximize the Kittiwake hub.
The vessel for theKraken heavy-oil field development has reached the shipyard in Singapore and work on the conversion to an FPSO has started. This summer EnQuest plans appraisal drilling of the Western Feature structure in the Kraken area.
