Offshore staff
TORSHAVN, Faroe Islands – Statoil has permission from the Faroese authorities (Jarðfeingi) for more exploratory drilling.
The semisubmersibleWest Hercules is at work on well 6104/21-2 T2, Brugdan II, in offshore license 006. This well was suspended in November 2012 due to harsh weather.
On completion, Statoil and license 006 partners ExxonMobil, OMV, and Atlantic Petroleum will drill the Súlan-Stelkur prospects in license 008.
