Petrobras makes new Espirito Santo basin discovery

Petrobras says it has a new Espirito Santo basin discovery in well 1-BRSA-926D-ESS.

RIO DE JANEIRO – Petrobras says it has a new Espirito Santo basin discovery in well 1-BRSA-926D-ESS. The well is in 1,900 m of water in block ES-M-525 of the EM-ES-23 concession 115 km off the state of Espirito Santo.
Wireline logging and fluid sampling from 4,200 m indicated a vertical thickness of 125 m for the pay.
Petrobras is the operator with 65%, Shell Brasil Petróleo Ltda has 20%, and Inpex Petróleo Santos Ltda, 15%.
Petrobras reports a new oil find on the BM-ES-23 concession.
