LONDON – The semisubmersible Eirik Raude has started drilling the Zebedee prospect in the offshore North Falkland basin for operator Premier Oil.
According to partner Rockhopper Exploration (AIM: RKH), well 14/15-5 well will test seven stacked fan bodies with varying geological chances of success of 9-52%. Prospective resources could be in the range of 13-178 MMbbl.
Drilling, coring, and logging operations are expected to take around 30 days.
The current planned order for the six-well campaign, commissioned by various partnerships off the Falkland Islands is:
1.)

2.)
Isobel Deep (RKH 24.0%)

3.)
Humpback (Non RKH well)

4.)
Jayne East (RKH 24.0%)
North Falkland basin, license PL004c
5.)
Chatham (RKH 40.0%)
